TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms are the agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("ConnectDis", "we") for the ConnectDis app and connectdis.app. By creating an account or joining a game you accept them. Fields in gold brackets are the only parts intended for your legal counsel to fill in.

WHO CAN USE CONNECTDIS

You must be at least [13] years old. If you are under 16, your account activates only after a parent or guardian approves it by email, and these terms bind them on your behalf. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a guardian must agree to these terms for you.

YOUR ACCOUNT & HANDLE

One person, one account. Keep your login private; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately about unauthorised use.

Handles and callsigns. No impersonation, slurs, or trademarks you have no right to. We may reclaim handles that break this rule.

Accuracy. Your date of birth must be truthful. Misstating age to bypass guardian approval or the 18+ sharing rule is grounds for termination.

COMMUNITY CONDUCT

ConnectDis is a sports community with minors present. No harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, doxxing, or grooming behaviour; no spam or scams; no contacting minors outside their games and teams. Report tools are on every profile, message, and stream. We may remove content, suspend, or ban accounts that put players at risk — immediately and without notice where safety requires it.

GAMES, VENUES & PHYSICAL RISK

Sport is physical. You take part in games found through ConnectDis at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own fitness, equipment, and insurance. ConnectDis lists venues and organises players; we do not own, operate, inspect, or supervise venues or matches, and organisers are not our agents or employees.

Venue rules apply. Bookings, fees, and access are between you and the venue. Follow venue rules and local law.

Minors at games. Guardian approval covers app use; supervision at the physical game remains the guardian’s responsibility.

SCORES, RESULTS & RANKINGS

How results lock. A result becomes official when both sides confirm (manager or player, per game settings), or [48] hours after submission if the other side neither confirms nor disputes.

Disputes. Disputed results go to the assigned scorekeeper’s log as evidence; our support team’s decision on a disputed result is final within the app.

No rank manipulation. Fake games, collusion, sandbagging, or score tampering may void results and reset or ban the accounts involved.

Ratings are ours to run. Elo, tiers, and streaks are computed by us and may be recalibrated; they carry no monetary value.

LIVE STREAMING & RECORDINGS

Volunteer roles. Camera operators, directors, and scorekeepers are volunteers, not our contractors. The director controls what goes to air and must honour teammates’ consent settings.

Appearing on camera. Streamed games are labelled before you join; joining one is consent to appear in the broadcast and its recording. Players whose guardians declined streaming must not be deliberately featured.

External platforms. Streams pushed to YouTube or Facebook are also governed by those platforms’ terms. We are not responsible for their availability or moderation.

Your device, your data plan. Streaming uses significant bandwidth and battery; carrier charges are yours.

YOUR CONTENT & LICENCE

You keep ownership of what you post — messages, video, images, stats commentary. You grant ConnectDis a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, display, and distribute that content as needed to run the service (including mixing camera feeds into a broadcast and showing the scorebug overlay). The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already part of another user’s confirmed match record or an existing recording.

Takedowns. To report content that infringes your rights, email [legal@connectdis.app] with the link and proof of ownership; we act on valid notices promptly.

OUR IP

The ConnectDis app, name, mark, HUD design, and rating system are ours or our licensors’. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices. No scraping, reselling, reverse engineering, or building a competing dataset from our APIs.

FEES

ConnectDis is currently free. If paid features launch, their price and terms will be shown before purchase and charged through the app stores; store refund rules apply. We will not move existing free safety features behind a paywall.

SUSPENSION & TERMINATION

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, create safety or legal risk, or sit dormant for over [24] months (with 30 days’ email notice for dormancy). Sections 04, 07, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.

DISCLAIMERS & LIABILITY

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows: we disclaim implied warranties; we are not liable for injuries, property damage, or disputes arising from games, venues, or other users’ conduct; and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of [BHD 40] or the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or your statutory consumer rights.

INDEMNITY

If you are an adult, you will indemnify ConnectDis against third-party claims arising from your content, your breach of these terms, or your conduct at games — except to the extent we caused the loss.

GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and disputes go to the courts of [BAHRAIN / VENUE], unless mandatory consumer law where you live gives you a different forum. We both agree to try good-faith resolution through [support@connectdis.app] first.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes are announced in-app at least 14 days ahead (guardians are emailed for under-16 accounts); continuing to use ConnectDis after the effective date is acceptance. The current version always lives at connectdis.app/terms.
